About the Project

At the heart of Expo 2020 is Al Wasl Plaza — a 150-metre diameter open space connecting all three Thematic Districts. The Plaza features a titanic 67.5-metre high trellised projection dome delivering an all-around holographic experience, stretching 130 metres in diameter and using over 2,500 tonnes of steel. The landscaping, designed by SWA, USA, replicates a tropical atmosphere in striking contrast to the surrounding desert. Adjacent to Al Wasl Plaza is the Rove Expo 2020 Hotel, the only hotel inside Expo 2020 Dubai.
