Expo 2020 – Alif, The Mobility Pavilion

EXPO 2020

About the Project

The iconic Mobility Pavilion — named Alif — was designed by Foster + Partners, UK, and is located at the tip of the Mobility District. The architecture is shaped like a helicopter turbine to symbolise humanity's advancements in navigation and travel. The Pavilion features the world's largest passenger lift (holding 160 passengers) and the highest elevating platform in the world. The entrance starts partially underground and ends with a large amphitheatre seating up to 500 spectators.
