Expo 2020 – Thematic Districts

About the Project

The beating heart of Expo 2020 Dubai is its Thematic Districts — Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity — each designed in the shape of a desert-rose petal. Together the Districts comprise the largest constructed area of Expo 2020 Dubai, with eighty-six exhibition buildings. Designed by Hopkins and Partners, UK, the districts evoke Old Dubai with facades resembling traditional Emirati wind towers, each district having its own unique colour theme: Opportunity in desert orange and yellow, Sustainability in green, and Mobility in futuristic blue.
