The Block, Dubai Design District

About the Project

The Block is a multi-functional waterfront recreational facility in Dubai Design District, featuring a multi-purpose court, urban beach, rock-climbing zone, and food and beverage outlets. A unique concept of the Block was its alignment with environmental sustainability principles: the project recycled over 1,700 blocks of concrete left over from the construction of the quay at Dubai Canal, each block weighing approximately 27 tonnes.
